Hank Decken's latest offering is edgier than his previous two releases: "Life Around the Edges" and "Another Seven Days". The lyrics of "Fading Forward' paint a picture of solitary paths that intersect with others in the unremitting ebb and flow of life. This gallery of work is a compilation of lives and relationships, some ending too soon and others too late. In the stark reality of changes that exist along the way, the hard work comes when life begins to falter. In order to persevere, resurgence is achieved by fading forward.

With Hank providing the vocal and guitar work, additional members known as The Hardline include: Geoff Safford - Rhythm Guitar, Mark Olson - Bass Guitar, Travis Barton - Drums and Scott Shuster - Keyboards

Singer/songwriter Hank Decken has spent most of his life playing music. After spending his early years playing is various bands in New Jersey and New England, Decken took the reins in Rosie, playing more than 300 dates a year. Rosie evolved into Nevada Beach, a hard-hitting rock band that released two albums on the Warner Brothers subsidiary, Metal Blade. Nevada Beach's second release, Zero Day, garnered the Headbanger's Ball favorite "Waiting For An Angel".

This second solo release "Another Seven Days" finds Hank playing under his own name, surrounded by friends and family in The Hardline: Mark Edgerly, Geoff Safford, Travis Barton, and Scott Shuster.

Along with The Hardline, Hank invited close friends to make special guest performances. Special thanks to drummer Jonathan Mover, who came up from the big city to contribute a great deal to the rhythm of the tracks. With thanks always to Rob Gourlay, Jody Gourlay, Andy Happel, Sean Daniels and Wayne Brewer.

His prolific double CD efforts combine reflections of the past with the philosophy and sometimes sardonic perspective of lessons learned.

An Americana infusion of blues and rock. Comfort food for the soul as they say. Like a your favorite well worn sweatshirt; always feel good when you put it on.

"Life Around the Edges" is the the first of Hank's solo efforts in the genre now known as Americana music. Prior biographic history, in and edited version, take him through a much heavier, hard edge rock style. When this project unfolded, the term Americana was a foreign one. Upon completion and subsequent support of the project Hank found himself surrounded and embracing this new identity. In music, true evolution always seems to bring you back to your roots and what got you started making music in the first place. This record is the first soulful cleansing pallete of mood and music where each song can simply stand on its own.
